AVEC-CHEM OM-90 gas mask – Developed for the benefit of the Czech forces, designed for use in hostile zones, within integrated units. Designed for use with sights & NVG, provides protection of the respiratory tract and face against toxic CBRN agents (vapours, gases, aerosols, contaminated dust) in conjunction with either filter cartridges or a powered respirator.

CE standardized mask EN 136: 1998, class III & EN 148-1 (thread), made of bromobutyl rubber (vulcanized polyisobutylene) – maximum impermeability to TIC (Toxic Industrial Chemicals) and CWA (Chemical Warfare Agents), excellent thermal resistance and mechanics. Internal half mask in hypoallergenic silicone, perfectly waterproof – no fogging, even in the event of sustained effort – significant reduction in the presence of CO2 in the mask & low mechanical resistance during inspiration/expiration (physiological constraints of the wearer greatly reduced ).

Two lateral threads (40×1/7 “ – 40mm NATO standard) allow the addition of two filter cartridges simultaneously – depending on the saturation of the atmosphere with toxic agent – or of one cartridge alone (the second thread then being locked and waterproof). The hydration system – which allows you to drink in contaminated areas – is immediately operational (a water bottle is provided with the mask).

The communication system allows 95% of voice exchanges to be understood – up to a distance of 2 to 3 meters, without sound distortion. Attachment of the mask by a head harness (rubber & textile) – designed for wearing a ballistic helmet, integration of glasses (not supplied) in the compartment provided in the mask if necessary, evacuation of sweat via the chamber expiration (allows long wear).

Prohibition of use :

• In an atmosphere with a level of less than 19.5% oxygen – below that a self-contained breathing apparatus is mandatory
• In an explosive atmosphere greater than class 01 (for Europe and France refer to ATEX classification – zone 01)
• As much as possible, no beard, no long hair – for optimal sealing
